When you go to a restaurant, it makes sense to eat where chefs choose to
eat. When you go to see a band, it makes sense to see one that other musicians want to see. As a testament to the talents of Messers. Howe and
Rist, our home was honored to welcome members of The Smithereens, The Catholic Girls, The Anderson Council, and a crew representing To M'Lou music
as part of the audience that came to hear them play. They did not disappoint. Playing together, while alternating lead on each song, the boys
gave the audience a combination of originals and covers that ranged from power-pop to humorous folk to (yes - this is not a misprint) "Detroit Rock
City."
In addition to the "normal" events surrounding our shows, this one became a
genuine "happening," when the skate crew broke out their guitars on the front lawn (they weren't into the music inside, just the food) and the
haircuts (yes - haircuts) began on the deck.
Confused? You should have been there - then it would all make sense.
