The best mention that I can give to Copperpot is that even before they had completed their second set, one of my daughters was asking that they come back!
My brother simply summed up the experience with one word - "Wow!"
Many dads came out on Fathers Day (including one belonging to Jarrett of the
band), to enjoy the music, weather and general festivities.
The two sterling sets of music were highlighted by some creative cover tune
incorporation. Our family favorite, "Go Girls," started out as Cheap
Trick's "Surrender," which alleviated the need for a cold vocal start as on
the CD. "Christine" took a break for a bridge from the verse from "Just
What I Needed." It was an astute observation from my brother that realized
that Copperpot had put together a song called "Christine" with one by The
Cars - it was a very Stephen King moment. As for pure cover tunes, well,
there was this Lionel Richie thing - but on a positive note, given its
delivery, I had no clue to its origins - amazing!
