Jersey Jams, Jersey Cares Benefit
Nice day, nice people, good music and a good cause -
the perfect recipe for a wonderful afternoon in MyDiningRoom.
Jersey Jams, Jersey Cares capped off a weekend of
fundraising with our show, and combined with the previous concerts, raised enough for a couple of scholarships.
Bookended by two MyDiningRoom veterans (Logs in the
Mainstream and The Grip Weeds), The Alice Project treated the crowd to a sweet acoustic sound
and Headquarters delivered a thoroughly mod set (in both style and substance). Headquarters also delivered a highlight for the
afternoon delivering a holiday rewrite of Larry Williams' "Bad Boy" (Hey Rudolph, behave yourself!).
The Logs were in rare form and brought the king of all
instruments, the bagpipes, back to our home, and serenading the crowd to the only acoustic death metal song known to man (don't worry, none of
the kids got too frightened).
The Grip Weeds capped off the day with an extra long
set of tasty tunes -- truly an amazing sound.
