Pat Dinizio, Living Room Tour 2

When you find a good thing - stick with it. That's what we did for our end of the summer show at The MyDiningRoom North Fairgrounds and Exposition Hall (aka my brother's house). Not only was it a return to Teaneck, but we brought back the inspiration for our entire series, Pat DiNizio of The Smithereens.

The show was amazing. 60 or so adults and numerous kids crammed into the house (Exposition Hall) for a great afternoon of music. Despite back-up vocals by both my sister-in-law and brother (on different songs), the highlight for me was when my 1 year-old Josie crawled in front of Pat during his song, "Blue Period." Pat looked down at her as she stared at him, and started singing in baby talk to her. The goo-goo ga-gas turned it a chant of, "Gabba Gabba Hey," which led into a cover of The Ramones, "I Wanna be Sedated." Josie was sitting in front of Pat staring the whole time. Despite the fact that the song might not be the most appropriate to sing to a baby, the whole incident was precious, and Pat finished the show with the crowd chanting, "Gabba Gabba Hey." Needless to say - we had a grand time.

I finally got the video up, but because of size limitations, it is encoded as a RealAudio file called pat.rm. The video is almost 2 minutes worth of Pat singing to Josie and like that, plus 4 seconds of my daughter (Webmaster speaking) getting ready for her first day of school. I haven't figured out how to edit mpg or rm files yet...
