The Play Trains and The Blennies
This show started out as a request
by a friend to have his band, The Play Trains perform. As I’d seen them before,
and enjoyed them a great deal, I though that it would be a great idea. After
agreeing on a date, my friend informs me that his bassist’s other band, The
Blennies, would love to play also. We had arranged for our first double
bill.
More firsts on this occasion:
First five piece band (including the first keyboard); first female lead singer;
first stand-up electric bass (cool plastic hollow-bodied thing); and first
barefoot guitarist.
Oh yeah, the bands rocked as
well…
